2022 Gift Membership 

Gifting a NYS TESOL membership – new or renewal - is now simpler than ever. Purchase a NYS TESOL gift membership and give your friends, colleagues or loved ones the extra code so they can start their journey as a NYS TESOL member. The NYS TESOL membership cycle is based on a calendar year. For example, regardless of when you purchase, the 2022 membership will run from January 1, 2022 to December 31st, 2022.

Once you purchase a gift membership, you will be given an extra code in your confirmation email. Send this extra code to the intended gift recipient and they can apply it during the checkout.  


 

Top Gift Membership Questions

Do I have to be a member to make the purchase? 

No, gift members are available for both members and non-members to purchase. You can gift a NYS TESOL membership to your friends, colleagues and loved ones for a lifelong learning experience. 

I purchased a gift membership for someone, how will they be notified?

Gift recipients will not be notified of your purchase. You will send the printable PDF you receive in your confirmation email to your gift recipient instead. 

I don’t know the gift recipient's contact information; can I still purchase a gift membership?

You will use your contact information to make the purchase instead. 

At what point is the gift membership activated? 

The NYS TESOL membership cycle is based on a calendar year. For example, regardless of when you purchase, the NYS TESOL 2022 membership will run from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.

• For gift recipients who are new members: In order to redeem the gift, they will need to visit www.nystesol.org and create a new online account applying the gift code. Once the gift recipient has logged into their new account, they can start enjoying their membership. 
• For gift recipients who are existing/past members: If you are gifting a renewal on an existing membership, they can sign into their existing account and apply the gift code at the checkout.
