Event Description
There are innumerable books, articles, and blogs written about what works with English learners, yet these resources do not always reflect research-validated approaches. The SIOP Model has more than 20 years of research that supports its effectiveness in improving teacher practice and academic outcomes for English learners. This presentation will provide an overview of SIOP’s 8 components as well as practical classroom ideas and activities for teachers to use with their English learner students.
